About Me:

I am originally from Valley Stream, NY (Long Island).  I have been married to my beautiful wife Sandra for two years.  We have a beautiful 1 year old Pit-bull named Zero (Warning: I will share stories and share pictures about him on a regular basis).

I am a big superhero/comic book fan.  Some of my favorite titles to read are: Teen Titans, Batman, The Flash, Superman, Superboy, Aquaman, The Justice League, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Suicide Squad, The Ultimate Spider-Man: Miles Morales, The Fantastic 4, Wolverine and The X-Men, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

I love to watch and play sports.  Football, wrestling and soccer are my absolute favorites sports.  I run the Intramural Sports Club with Mr. Thiel.  I also enjoy drawing/sketching, and reading whenever I have free time.  I am very excited to be teaching my third year of 6th Grade Math and Science and I am looking forward to another incredible year at Kannapolis Intermediate!

I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (K-6).

I am currently enrolled in graduate classes at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).

Educational Philosophy/Vision:

I believe that every student is unique and capable of learning.  I believe students succeed when they are engaged in hands-on activities, working cooperatively in groups and when they are challenged to take on a teaching role.

How Can Parents Help?

1. Check your child's agenda for homework or any other important pieces of information.  Make sure homework is completed.  Also, ask your child to teach you how to work out one of their math problems; this will help solidify what I am teaching them in class.

2. Open communication with your child's teachers is key to their success, so s
tay connected through Remind.  Click on the Stay connected tab to sign up with Remind.

3. Make sure your child is coming to school prepared each day (pencils, notebooks, etc.)

Contact Info:
